Responses are all anonymous, but may be compiled as part of Happy Effective Lawyer, LLC and quoted or summarized in articles, presentations, or in the Happy Lawyer website www.happy.lawyer and Happy Effective Lawyer blog www.happyeffectivelawyer.org.

This survey focuses on lawyers employed in legal departments in the public, government, and public interest sectors. Unique issues arise when attorneys are employees and are not responsible for business development or managing the organization. This 60 question survey should take about 20 minutes.
The focus of the survey is on what you do at work and not on work-life balance. The goal is to learn what habits and best practices lawyers use to provide effective representation while reducing personal stress. This survey is around 56 questions, and although it seems lengthy, it should take only 15-20 minutes to complete.
